2013.
Started off with no celebrations. Went straight to work on school projects. Performed at a few events here and there. Made a lot of new friends who inspired me, made music and continued on school projects. I told myself I needed a holiday. Wasn't making much progress with this music thing compared to the last few years.
Oh, on the last day of school I got stung by a bee.
Anyways I took a trip to Singapore and Kuala Lumpur in the summer to escape all the bullshit I was feeling.
Then I got a job to work in a studio. Learned so much stuff. Everyday was a learning process and it took a while before I could make use of the things that I've been taught. I'm super grateful for being able to learn.
Then I had a forgotten verse. 20 bars in total. Forgot exactly when did I recorded it. I remembered it was meant for scoring an independent film. The film blew up. The song topped the charts. I went on radio stations, TV stations, press conferences, red carpets and award shows. Big thanks to everyone involved.
We even won an award for that song and I still wonder why I'm here. While I'm juggling all these questions in my head, my grandmother passed away in her sleep. The whole family was shocked.
I needed a break again. I went out to Bali without any notice and spent Christmas there with my friends that I've met since 2000.
Drastic changes happened this year. I even started dating after being single for 2 years. I'm thankful. Learned so much from you and all the people around me. Nothing was the same since 2013.
